Angelica is from Lakewood, California. She double majored in Nutrition and Food Science, graduating with her bachelor’s of science from California State University, Long Beach. Angelica has always been fascinated with Food and how our cultures influence our food choices. She initially intended to become a Registered Dietitian, but quickly realized she wanted to impact systemic change more. For this reason, Angelica will be pursuing a Masters of Public Health in Community Science and Behavioral Health in Fall 2023. Her favorite dish is green pozole. She is excited to work with Brighter Bites and help inspire healthier lives. Angelica likes to cook, read, and go for walks on her free time. She loves being out in nature. One thing that Angelica looks forward to in the Program Coordinator role is getting to work closely with children and their families. Angelica enjoys having meaningful conversations with new people.
