That’s why Brighter Bites offers families more than fresh food—we provide the tools, knowledge, and support families need to build healthier futures both at home and in the classroom.

As this school year begins, we’re excited to demonstrate that Change Starts at School by celebrating the stories of families whose lives have been transformed through Brighter Bites. From a child who is better able to focus because they have access to nutritious food, to parents who feel empowered to make healthy choices, every story reflects the lasting impact of investing in a student's success.

Together, we are transforming lives—one bite at a time, one lesson at a time, one student at a time. By supporting this campaign, donors help ensure that more children walk into the classroom ready to learn and families have the resources they need to build brighter, healthier futures. Because lasting change doesn't just happen in the classroom—it starts there.

We’re proud to kick off another school year with new support from Superior HealthPlan! ❤️

This school year, Brighter Bites is bringing fresh produce and nutrition education to 40,000+ families from coast to coast. Our work wouldn't be possible without the support of school leaders in our partner districts.

Leaders like @Dr. Alfredo G. Barrantes SantaMaria, Acting Superintendent of Cartwright School District, who recently rolled up his sleeves and helped bag fresh produce at a Brighter Bites distribution in Phoenix!

From district leadership to school staff, we’re grateful to the educators who show up for their students and families and help make healthy choices more accessible all year long. ❤️

Everyone should have access to nutritious food, yet too many people face barriers to healthy meals and fresh produce.

The impact of food insecurity extends beyond homes and into classrooms. Research consistently shows that students from food-insecure households struggle to attain the same academic milestones as their food-secure peers.

Brighter Bites not only addresses food insecurity; it also creates healthy habits along the way. By providing fresh fruits and vegetables, nutrition education, and healthy recipes, we're ensuring children have the nourishment and healthy habits they need to succeed in school and life.

This Hunger Action Month, we’re committed to building healthier communities where every child has the nourishment they need to reach their full potential. Join us this school year as we turn food access into opportunity and help ensure every child has a healthy start!

Wishing everyone a safe and happy Labor Day weekend! Whether you’re firing up the grill, packing a picnic, or enjoying a meal with family and friends, we hope fresh fruits and veggies have a place on your plate! ❤️
