Dimitri Antoniou

Program Coordinator
Austin
Dimitri fell in love with fresh produce as a kid helping his mom pick raspberries and blackberries from their garden. As the son of two entrepreneurs in the food industry, he grew up surrounded by delicious and interesting things to eat. He has always enjoyed cooking and eating, and is excited to share this passion with families in the Austin, TX area as a Program Coordinator.
Dimitri graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Pennsylvania in 2016 with a degree in Urban Studies, where he studied urban social issues like education, housing, transportation, and food access. He moved to San Antonio with Venture for America, a two-year fellowship in entrepreneurship. He spent the next seven years working in adult education, technology, and vocational training as he helped to scale a local coding bootcamp. He has worked in marketing, sales, product, business development, and operations, and led teams of 5-35 employees.
After moving to Austin in January 2024, Dimitri joined Brighter Bites as a Program Associate in order to get to know the community he was now living in, make a positive impact with his work, and reconnect with his passions for food and education. He quickly realized the uniqueness of the BB model and impact, and eagerly stepped up to work more closely with schools in his current role!
