Adewunmi (Addy) Babalola

Adewunmi Babalola recently joined the team as the senior operations coordinator in Houston, Texas. She previously worked as an IDD service coordinator for The Harris Center, where she worked on the planning, coordination and implementation of Home and Community services for individual with intellectual and developmental disabilities. In her new role, Adewunmi will support the program manager with overseeing specific programmatic activities in Houston, and managing the day-to-day logistics at Brighter Bites.

Adewunmi received her undergraduate degree in Biology at Texas A&M University and post-bac degree in Exercise Science at University of Houston. She is currently an MPH candidate at UT Public Health majoring in Health Management and interested in pursuing project management and operations within the public health sector. Adewunmi has always been an advocate for health and wellness, and wanted to apply the knowledge she’s obtain throughout her coursework to increase better health outcomes for various populations experiencing health major health disparities.

When it comes to hobbies and past-times, Adewunmi describes herself as self-proclaimed foodie, fitness enthusiast and lover of all things art. She loves weight lifting, fashion design, traveling and exploring all the diverse and tasty delicacies of Houston.

Adewunmi is excited about starting her new journey at Brighter Bites and looks forward to helping the organization expand its operations within various communities.
