We’re proud to kick off another school year with new support from Superior HealthPlan! ❤️⁠

Thanks to their partnership, Brighter Bites is expanding access to fresh fruits and vegetables and nutrition education for families across San Antonio. This school year, Superior HealthPlan’s support will help us serve approximately 1,300 families at seven local schools with biweekly distributions of fresh produce.⁠

The impact of food insecurity extends beyond homes and into classrooms. Research consistently shows that students from food-insecure households struggle to attain the same academic milestones as their food-secure peers.⁠

Brighter Bites not only addresses food insecurity; it also creates healthy habits along the way. By providing fresh fruits and vegetables, nutrition education, and healthy recipes, we're ensuring children have the nourishment and healthy habits they need to succeed in school and life.⁠
