Michelle Ospina is a Program Coordinator in Washington, D.C., where she combines her passions for health, Humanitarian work, and food to help families build healthier lifestyles. Before joining Brighter Bites, Michelle worked in Pediatric Cardiology, directly caring for children battling obesity. Her experience inspired her to author an article for CMSA Today (2020) on innovative ways to fight childhood obesity. With a background in Anthropology, Michelle has developed a deep appreciation for people, culture, and what makes communities thrive. She will soon be pursuing a Master’s in Global Health, uniting her interests in medicine, social impact and nutrition. As the daughter of a chef, Michelle grew up with a love for cooking and a lifelong respect for the power of food to heal and connect people. When she’s not championing community wellness, you’ll find her outdoors, enjoying the day with friends and soaking up the world around her.
