Marcia A. Sandifer is a native Washingtonian and an experienced program and operations leader with more than 13 years of experience supporting children, families, schools, and community-based organizations. Throughout her career, she has worked directly with youth from birth through age 14, helping create programs and environments that support their growth, well-being, and success. Her professional experience includes leadership roles across public charter schools, early childhood education programs, and federally funded programs such as Head Start and Early Head Start. Deeply committed to her community, Marcia has served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) in Prince George’s County, MD. She continues to volunteer throughout the Washington, DC Metro area advocating for the community by ensuring youth across the region have meaningful access to healthy foods that reflect and celebrate their culture and identity. Outside of work, Marcia enjoys gardening, brunching, researching her family genealogy, and spending time with family and friends.
