Tamaella Andrus

Program Coordinator

Tamaella Andrus is a program coordinator for Brighter Bites in Southwest Florida. She was born in Canada and spent the younger years of her childhood there before moving to Florida. Growing up in a multi-cultural family she had the privilege of speaking different languages at home; French, English, and Haitian Creole. After graduating high school, she returned to Canada to study at the University of Alberta on the French campus. Following her first year, Tamaella continued her studies at Indiana University where she completed her degree in Community Health. Before joining Brighter Bites, Tamaella took her passion for health and nutrition and began working with the Women, Infants, and Children program in Utah. During her time in Utah, she saw how important it was for communities to have access to healthy foods. When she discovered Brighter Bites, she was excited to continue to serve children and families in a way that would directly impact their lifestyles. She hopes to be able to connect with families in Southwest Florida and help them make changes towards leading healthier lives!
